Fylde Coast's Fleetwood Pub Company have invested in a real time EPOS system at their flagship Strawberry Gardens pub restaurant in Fleetwood, Lancashire.
Replacing traditional cash registers the new EPOS system has streamlined operations throughout the venue, which includes two bars and the adjoining 'Little Restaurant", headed up by the famous Syd Little and his wife.
Three networked EPOS tills running MoboPOS link the bars and restaurant. The touchscreen EPOS system speeds up bar service while providing better control over prices and more accuracy on stock. In the restaurant, graphical table plans and detailed menu layouts increase the speed of service. Centralised table billing and kitchen order printing prevents items from being missed off the bill and provide accurate financial control.
Real Time Analysis
Real time business insight is provided by the web based reporting system, giving management a clear and accurate view of business data, right down to individual transactions and products.
Selection & Client Support
Mobo Innovations were selected for the project from a number of companies and were the ideal choice being a locally based company who could apply their expertise in the field, assist and advise with cabling and importantly offer both on-site and remote customer support.
The Strawberry Gardens
The selection of ales is so good that the Strawberry has been recognised as the Blackpool & Fylde CAMRA Pub of the Year 2013, a success following hot on the heels of being voted the Cider Pub of the Year in 2012, and which also sees the pub earn an entry in the Good Beer Guide.
The Strawberry is a traditional Victorian red brick building that dates back to the historical beginnings of Fleetwood, when it was built as a hotel with huge gardens that stretched right back to the sea near the boating lake. It was the number one place in town, a ‘Skippers’ pub, rather than one of the plain boozers that the ordinary sailors used while they were drinking their wages on dry land.
Today, it takes its place at the heart of the Fleetwood community, as a welcoming venue with things happening all year round.
There’s live entertainment on Friday, Saturday and selected Sunday nights each week, from the best of the local bands that the Fylde Coast has to offer. The Strawberry Gardens is also the home of the Blue Pig Orchestra. Plus, Wednesday night is quiz night.
Folk Music is especially important at the Strawberry where Fleetwood Folk Club meet each week, and it’s one of the major venues where many of the acts at the annual Fleetwood Folk Festival perform.
