The Hume Arms, in the heart of Torksey, has been restored to its former glory by Ever So Sensible Restaurants, under the Lincolnshire Pub & Kitchen brand, after the company took on the lease in March this year.
Work undertaken at the venue on Main Street includes a complete refit of the interior, creating a warm and welcoming feel throughout the pubís warren of cosy rooms, as well as the landscaping of the extensive garden area.
For Chris Bulaitis, managing director of Ever So Sensible Restaurants, the renovation has been about restoring some of The Hume Armsí lost beauty and charm:
The Ever So Sensible Group
The Ever So Sensible Group is now in its tenth year, with eleven outstanding and award winning sites: Le Mistral Wirksworth , Le Mistral Bakewell, Le Mistral Nottingham, Le Mistral Sherwood, The Castle in Nottingham, Bad JuJu in Nottingham, The Horse & Groom in Lincoln, The MarquisWellington in Leicester, Fothergills in Nottingham The Hume Arms in Lincolnshire and The Globe in Leicester.

Centralised EPOS System
The centalised EPOS system connects each of the pubs and restaurants with head office, providing central control over operations right down to pricing and menu management at the point of sale.
The central management software allows the team to manage the different concepts, menus and pricing structure across the estate.
Central reporting features helps improve business efficiency and monitor performance, from quick summaries to detailed reports. Providing valuable information to make quick profit-making decisions and cost savings.
At The Point Of Sale
Ever So Sensible needed to replace their old tills and have gradually rolled out the new touch screen EPOS system to provide better visibility and control at head office. The new EPOS terminals have many benefits and streamline the running of the pubs with features like graphical table plans, meal deal promotions, kitchen printing and operator security.
Handheld Waiter Pad
Keen to embrace new technology to enhance operations and guest satisfaction, the group are due to trial the latest hand-held order terminals in a couple of venues over the coming months.
