The Carnegie Pavilion is a pioneering scheme providing world-class media and players' facilities, hospitality and teaching facilities all under one roof.
The requirements for the new EPOS system was two fold; the new system had to replace the old cash registers to run a live restaurant, and it was to be coupled with the hospitality management courses to train students on the latest hospitality technology.
The management team selected Mobo Innovations following a number of site visits and consultations to identify key requirements for the new EPOS system.
Located on the 5th Floor of the fabulous Carnegie Pavilion, the University now has a state of the art touch screen EPOS system coupled with back office EPOS management software, dedicated for training purposes.
A second EPOS system with touch screens, kitchen printers and wireless Orderman handheld terminals for the wait staff, is installed in the main live restaurant serving guests.
Mobo2Go, a new on-line ordering facility allowing customers to pre-order food online is due to be introduced later in the year.
Whether you want to manage restaurants, bars, clubs, inclusive resorts, food venues, or catering operations, the new catering facilities at Leeds Metropolitan University give students a detailed insight into the industry.
With a dedicated training system and a live working restaurant, students now get real first hand experience of using the latest hospitality technology used by major restaurant chains.
